ZF Appoints Doru Tașcă as Head of Japan Operations

ZF has announced the elevation of Doru Tașcă as the new President of ZF Japan, effective August 1. In addition to leading the Japan operations, he will continue in his role as Global Key Account Executive for Japanese OEMs (JOEM). Mr Tașcă, who joined ZF in 2020 as the Key Account Executive for Toyota, has steadily expanded his scope of responsibility and now manages all Japanese OEM clients. His leadership has been pivotal in driving impactful initiatives and nurturing strategic customer relationships across the region.

With over 20 years of experience in Japan’s automotive sector and a strong track record at ZF, Mr Tașcă brings a deep understanding of cross-cultural collaboration and program management. In his expanded role, he will spearhead the commercial strategy for the Japan business while ensuring tight integration with global accounts. His leadership is expected to further enhance ZF’s presence and responsiveness in the dynamic Japanese market.

Reacting to his new appointment ,Mr Tașcă shared his appreciation for the opportunity, stating his commitment to strengthening ZF’s regional capabilities. He emphasized the importance of agility, collaboration, and customer value creation in steering the organisation forward amid industry shifts. He also highlighted the role of dedicated local teams in achieving these goals.

Michael Neumann, Executive Vice President – Sales and Customer Development at ZF, expressed full confidence in Mr Tașcă’s leadership. He noted that Mr Tașcă’s clear strategic direction and consistent delivery on customer priorities make him well-suited to lead ZF Japan. As the automotive landscape undergoes rapid transformation, ZF aims to reinforce local leadership that can address complexity while maintaining strong client alignment.
