Zen Technologies Q2 Net Profit Increases Fourfold

Zen Technologies, a prominent player in the aerospace and defense sector, has published its financial results for the second quarter. The company’s net profit soared to ₹62.6 crore from ₹15.3 crore in the same quarter last year, marking a remarkable 309% increase. Revenue also saw significant growth, climbing from ₹66.5 crore to ₹241.8 crore, which is a 263% rise.

EBITDA rose from ₹19 crore to ₹80 crore, resulting in an improved profit margin of 33.1%, up from 28.4% a year earlier. Headquartered in Hyderabad, Zen Technologies specializes in anti-drone technology and defense training solutions.

As of September 30, 2024, the company reported an order backlog of ₹956.74 crore and successfully raised ₹100 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) in the same quarter. Over the past year, Zen Technologies’ stock has seen substantial growth, providing investors with returns exceeding 160%, climbing from below ₹720 to over ₹1875.

In a notable development last month, the company announced it had received an annual maintenance contract from the Ministry of Defence, valued at ₹46 crore, inclusive of GST. This contract involves the maintenance of simulators created by Zen for a duration of five years.

Additionally, Zen Technologies, along with its subsidiary AI Turing Technologies, unveiled four advanced remote-controlled weapon and surveillance systems aimed at enhancing defense capabilities. Zen Technologies, founded in 1993 and headquartered in Hyderabad, India, is a leading provider of defense training and simulation solutions.
