Zelio E-Mobility has announced plans to add more than 150 dealerships across South India by FY27 as the electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturer expands its retail presence in the region. The company plans to add approximately 40 dealers in Tamil Nadu, while Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh are each expected to account for around 30 new dealerships. In Telangana, where Zelio currently has about 15 dealers, the company plans to expand its network towards 30 outlets.

Zelio currently has more than 400 dealers across over 25 states. The planned South India expansion is expected to take its nationwide network to more than 550 dealerships by FY27. The company said the expansion is aimed at improving product availability, customer engagement and after-sales support as electric vehicle adoption grows across the country. South India is expected to remain an important market for electric two-wheelers, with customers increasingly evaluating technology, ownership costs, service support and product availability.

Kunal Arya, Managing Director, Zelio E-Mobility, said, “The next phase of electric mobility will be shaped not only by product innovation, but by how effectively the industry understands and responds to customers at the local level. South India represents a large and important market for electric mobility, with a growing base of well-informed customers who are increasingly discerning about technology, ownership experience, value and after-sales support. This makes the region both an important opportunity and a market that demands a more thoughtful approach to customer engagement.”

“Our focus is therefore on creating stronger relationships with our dealer partners and giving them the capabilities, products and support needed to build lasting customer trust. We believe that companies that stay closest to the customer and respond to evolving expectations will be best placed to participate in the deeper adoption of electric mobility that lies ahead,” he added.

The expansion follows the launch of Zelio’s new manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Spread across approximately 39,000 sq. ft., the facility will support electric scooter assembly, storage, logistics and other business operations. The facility is expected to support the company’s growing dealer network in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states.

Zelio E-Mobility recorded revenue of ₹313.68 crore in FY2025–26, representing an 81.8% year-on-year increase. The company said its revenue has grown at a CAGR of 121% over the past four years and that it has remained profitable since inception. Following its BSE SME listing in October 2025, through which it raised ₹78.34 crore, Zelio has been expanding its manufacturing capacity, dealer network and workforce.
