India Yamaha Motor is marking four decades in the Indian market at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, held from January 17 to 22. The company’s participation celebrates its legacy in the premium two-wheeler segment, showcasing its journey and future vision under the theme “Aspirations Unveiled.”
A key highlight at Yamaha’s pavilion is the legacy exhibit, which features iconic models such as the RX-100, RD-350, and first-generation versions of the YZF-R15 and FZ series. The ‘History Arena’ offers visitors a chance to explore Yamaha’s evolution, beginning with the company’s founding in 1955 and its influential entry into India, which helped shape the country’s motorcycling culture.
Among the display’s notable items is Yamaha’s MotoGP machine, the YZR-M1, which highlights the brand’s racing accomplishments, including more than 500 podium finishes. The showcase also features authentic MotoGP gear worn by riders Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins, including their suits, helmets, and gloves.
Another major attraction is the Y/AI Concept Motorcycle, a futuristic design combining AI technology with innovative mobility ideas. Featured in the sci-fi anime “Tokyo Override,” the concept reflects Yamaha’s forward-looking vision for urban transportation, inspired by the YZR-M1.
Yamaha is also showcasing the Lander 250 and Tenere 700, emphasizing adventure and exploration. The Lander 250 is a dual-purpose bike ideal for both off-road and urban use, while the Tenere 700 is built for tackling rugged terrains with outstanding durability. The MT-15, MT-03, and MT-09 from the MT Series embody the “Dark Side of Japan” theme, featuring powerful engines, agile handling, and bold designs for an engaging ride. The FZ-S Fi DLX, Yamaha’s first hybrid motorcycle in India, is unveiled at the expo. Equipped with Smart Motor Generator technology, it provides a quiet, smooth engine experience, along with advanced features such as a Color TFT instrument cluster with Turn-by-Turn navigation.
The Hybrid Zone features Yamaha’s 125cc FI Blue Core Engine and hybrid scooters like the RayZR, Fascino, and Filano, all emphasizing fuel efficiency and torque, aligned with Yamaha’s focus on urban mobility. The Aerox 155 Version S and N-MAX scooters, aimed at young riders, offer sporty designs and superior performance for city commuting and weekend rides.
The pavilion also includes interactive experiences, such as MotoGP gaming, Yamaha accessories, and a tilt-bike simulation with the R15. A special 40-year zone offers visitors a chance to engage with the brand and its legacy.
