- WRI India March 2020 Webinar to talk about Disruptive Potential of Fuel Cell Technology in Transport Sector
- To attend, interested EV enthusiasts should register before the webinar
- Dr. Prakash Chandra Ghosh of IIT Bombay will address webinar on March 24, 2020, 3-4 pm
At the time of using our time constructively and innovatively during tougher times of facing the challenges thrown by Corona Virus, WRI India in association with Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation is hosting their monthly eMobility webinar addressing The Disruptive Potential of Fuel Cell Technology in Transportation Sector in India on March 24, 2020, 3 pm-4 pm.
Recent growth in EV adoption has raised the question of how EVs affect the current ecosystem – including the market, R&D, policies, etc. – and discussion around "Disruptive Technologies". Disruptive technology is one that displaces an established technology and shakes up the industry or a ground-breaking product that creates a completely new industry.
Moderated by Shravani Sharma, Project Associate – Electric Vehicles (Infrastructure and Policy) at WRI India, the speaker of the webinar is Dr. Prakash Chandra Ghosh (Dept. of Energy Science & Engineering IIT Bombay). Interested EV enthusiasts consisting of students, industry professionals, academicians, can register and attend the session of 1 hour, and will be followed by Q&A.
What are these new forms of disruptive technology in India, and what should we know about them right now? The topics covered in these sessions will be:-
- What is the current status and understanding of fuel cell technology for the transport sector in India?
- What are the fuel options for fuel cell vehicles in India?
- What are the potential challenges of hydrogen and fuel cell technology?
- What are the techno-economic challenges in the commercialization of fuel cell technology?
- What is the potential of the early adoption of fuel cell technology by different vehicle segments, specifically for India?
Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from RWTCH Aachen, Germany Dr. Prakash Chandra Ghosh is the recipient of BOYSCAST fellowship from DST, Govt. of India and ERASMUS MUNDUS fellowship from European Union. Dr. Ghosh has more than fifty International Journal papers in the field of solar energy, fuel cells, and hydrogen energy.
