The agreement outlines a collaborative framework to drive research, innovation, and people-centric solutions supporting sustainable energy goals.
As part of this partnership, WRI India will serve as a knowledge partner to BRPL, offering strategic insights and analytical support to guide the utility’s clean energy transition. The collaboration will focus on developing research themes, testing innovative models, and designing fair, inclusive solutions that put communities at the center of energy reforms.
Abhishek Ranjan, CEO of BRPL, said “Partnering with WRI India strengthens our commitment to clean energy. This collaboration will help us create community-first solutions, test new approaches in real-world settings, and expand access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. Together, we aim to build resilient systems that align with India’s broader sustainability goals.”
The partnership will focus on joint research and analysis to generate data-driven insights that align with the evolving energy landscape. It will also design and implement innovation pilots within BRPL’s service areas to test new clean energy models, ensuring practical solutions that can be scaled effectively.
A strong emphasis will be placed on people-centric approaches, making sure that energy initiatives are inclusive, accessible, and community-oriented. Additionally, the collaboration aims to support a just transition by identifying opportunities that promote equitable access to clean energy, ensuring no communities are left behind. Together, these efforts mark a forward-looking step toward building resilient, inclusive, and future-ready energy systems that contribute to national climate and sustainability goals.
