Environment Day Webinar: Ecosystem Restoration For Sustainable Living & Livelihood

On World Environment Day, Chief Guest Professor Sanjaya Satapathy, Vice-Chancellor of Kalahandi University, Odisha will be delivering a keynote address on Significance of awareness among Youth regarding ecosystem restoration. The event based on the theme Ecosystem Restoration For Sustainable Living & Livelihood is organised by OPMDC & ITI Cuttack.

Odisha Project Marketing and Development Centre (OPMDC), along with Government ITI Cuttack will be organising a virtual event on Ecosystem Restoration for Sustainable Living & Livelihood on the 5th of June 2021, World Environment Day, 10.30 am onwards. The event will be streamed live over Google Meet. Rabindra Kumar Sahoo, Director of OPMDC will be hosting the event, Shrutika Mohanty, Faculty of Government ITI Cuttack will be moderating the event.

Dr Hrusikesh Mohanty, Principal of ITI Cuttack will be talking about the Observation of WED2021 by Chief Guest Professor Sanjaya Satapathy, Vice-Chancellor of Kalahandi University. Dr Krushna Chandra Aich, President of Bigyana o Paribesh Samiti, Chairman of Kind India Foundation, and the Consultant Ministry of Forest & Env, Govt. of India will be talking about Why World Environment Day?

Hari Sanker, Managing Editor of Machine Maker will be talking about the Role of Technology and the Implementation of Innovation in the Ecosystem. The event will be streamed over Google Meet.

Ashok Kumar Choudhury,  Joint Director Technical, OREDA, one of the few who have closely watched the evolution of renewable energy in the country as well as globally will be highlighting the Ecosystem  Restoration – “A Practice of Renewing by active Action”, Mitigation – A Strategic Approach. Followed by him Shibabrata Kar, of UNDP will talk about Community mobilization & Participation in the promotion of sustainable living and livelihood. Dr Debajit Palit, Director Rural Energy and Livelihood, TERI will share his experience on the Model project for the Ecosystem for the uplifting of the Rural Livelihood.
