Wipro Limited, a leader in AI-driven technology services and consulting, has introduced the Wipro Innovation Network, a global initiative aimed at accelerating co-innovation with clients. The network will harness cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing to tackle complex challenges across industries.

“At Wipro, we believe innovation thrives through collaboration,” said Srini Pallia, CEO and Managing Director of Wipro Limited. “The Wipro Innovation Network is designed to catalyze AI-powered co-innovation. By uniting our clients, partners, academic institutions, and tech communities worldwide, we aim to accelerate breakthrough innovations that solve real-world problems, create new opportunities, and enhance the competitive advantage of our clients.”

The network will concentrate on five key technology themes: Agentic AI, robotics integrated with embodied AI, quantum computing, digital ledger technology, and quantum-safe cyber resilience. It will leverage Wipro’s extensive innovation ecosystem, including its Innovation Labs, Partner Labs, Wipro Ventures, crowdsourcing platform Topcoder, partnerships with top academic and research organizations, and a team of skilled technology experts to foster continuous ideation, research, and innovation.

Wipro Limited, established in 1945 by Mohamed Premji as Western India Vegetable Products Limited, has evolved into a prominent Indian multinational corporation specializing in information technology, consulting, and business process services. Headquartered in Bengaluru, India, Wipro operates in over 60 countries, delivering a broad spectrum of services including cloud computing, cybersecurity, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and data analytics.

In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, Wipro reported gross revenues of ₹225.0 billion (approximately $2.63 billion USD) for the quarter, marking a 1.3% year-over-year increase. The net income for this period was ₹35.7 billion (around $417.8 million USD), reflecting a 25.9% growth compared to the previous year. Despite these gains, Wipro projected a sequential revenue decline of 1.5% to 3.5% for the April-June 2025 quarter, attributing this forecast to ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties and cautious client spending.

As of March 31, 2024, Wipro employed approximately 234,000 individuals worldwide, experiencing a 6.4% decrease from the previous year. The company has expanded its capabilities and market presence through strategic acquisitions, including the purchase of Capco, a global management and technology consultancy, for $1.45 billion in 2021.

Leadership transitions have been notable, with Srini Pallia appointed as CEO in April 2024, succeeding Thierry Delaporte. Wipro continues to focus on innovation and client-centric solutions, aiming to strengthen its position as a leading global IT services provider.
