Welspun Specialty Solutions Ltd announced on Tuesday (March 4) that it has been selected as the top bidder for a supply agreement with Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Trichy. The deal involves providing 4,050 tonnes of stainless steel seamless boiler tubes for a range of supercritical thermal power projects.
According to a filing with the stock exchange, “We are pleased to inform that Welspun Specialty Solutions Limited (WSSL) has been designated as the L1 bidder by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL, Trichy) for the supply of approximately 4,050 tonnes of Stainless Steel Seamless Boiler Tubes for a series of Supercritical Thermal Power Projects. The formal contract will be finalized after BHEL’s internal approval process.”
The value of the contract is estimated at ₹231.77 crore (excluding GST), and WSSL was awarded the bid after undergoing a thorough evaluation process. “WSSL participated in the tender following a stringent assessment and subsequent approval by BHEL. The total contract value is ₹231.77 crore (excluding GST),” the statement added.
