Welspun Enterprises Ltd has secured the position of the preferred bidder for the construction of a water treatment facility capable of processing 2,000 million liters per day, as announced by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

In an announcement disclosed through an exchange filing on Wednesday, the company has confirmed its successful bid acquisition for the design-build-operate contract aimed at the establishment of a water treatment facility within the Bhandup complex. The contract, valued at Rs 4,128 crore exclusive of Goods and Services Tax, is slated to be executed within a span of 48 months from inception.
Additionally, the company has divulged through another exchange filing that the National Company Law Tribunal has granted approval for the proposed scheme of amalgamation involving its wholly owned subsidiaries—Welspun Infraconstruct Pvt., Welspun-Kaveri Infraprojects JV Pvt., Corbello Trading Pvt., and RGY Roads Pvt.—with the parent entity.
