Welspun Corp has secured ₹3,000 crore worth of orders for natural gas pipeline projects in the United States, the company announced on February 17. The new contracts include two major orders for HSAW Pipes and additional orders for HFIW Pipes, primarily for supplying coated pipes for natural gas transmission.
With these new additions, Welspun Corp’s consolidated order book now stands at approximately ₹18,000 crore, further strengthening its position in the oil and gas pipeline sector. The company expects to execute these orders during FY26 and FY27.
Welspun Corp emphasized that these wins reinforce its leadership in the U.S. oil and gas transmission market. The company remains optimistic about future opportunities in the U.S. and believes it is well-positioned to capitalize on upcoming projects in the sector.
The development comes shortly after the company reported strong financial results for the October-December 2024 quarter. During Q3 FY25, Welspun Corp’s net profit surged by 127% YoY to ₹674.7 crore. However, revenue from operations declined 23.9% to ₹3,613.5 crore, compared to ₹4,749.7 crore in the same period last year.
Despite the revenue drop, the company’s EBITDA stood at ₹434.4 crore, down 6.1% YoY from ₹463 crore in Q3 FY24. However, its EBITDA margin improved to 12%, up from 9.8% YoY, indicating operational efficiency gains.
