The WAGNER Group, based in Langenhagen near Hanover, Germany, has announced significant growth in the fiscal year 2023/24, achieving total group sales of EUR 138 million, an increase of EUR 14.8 million or 12% compared to the previous year. The company’s ability to adapt to challenging market conditions, including inflation, rising energy costs, and ongoing uncertainty, has allowed it to maintain and expand its market position.
WAGNER, a family-owned business with a 48-year history, has experienced consistent growth and now employs approximately 800 people worldwide, with around 120 based outside of Germany. A major contributor to this growth is the company’s strategic focus on international markets, with exports accounting for about 50% of total sales. Key export markets include the United Kingdom, Austria, the USA, and India. The company expanded its global reach during 2023/24 by establishing two new subsidiaries: WAGNER Fire Safety India and WAGNER Fire Safety DMCC in Dubai, with early market successes already reported in India.
In addition to international growth, WAGNER continues to strengthen its position within Europe, with Germany remaining its core market. One of the standout areas of growth has been in fire protection solutions for rail vehicles, a key segment for the company.
WAGNER has maintained its leadership in fire detection and prevention technologies thanks to in-house research and development at its Langenhagen headquarters. The company holds more than 700 patents and has received numerous awards and certifications for its innovative solutions, including the ISO 27001 certification for information security. WAGNER is also addressing the increasing demand for cybersecurity as businesses and society become more digital.
Company founder and managing director, Dipl.-Ing. Werner Wagner, expressed pride in the company’s achievements: “Our team at headquarters and across our subsidiaries has delivered outstanding results once again. Our strategy is proving effective, and we have received numerous accolades for our efforts, including the Employer of the Future and TOP100 Innovator awards, as well as recognition for our products such as the FeuerTrutz and Fire India awards. I am incredibly proud of the team’s dedication and performance.”
