WABAG Wins Repeat Order for Five-Year Operation & Maintenance of Madinat Salman STP in Bahrain

VA Tech WABAG (WABAG), a leading Indian multinational in water technology, has secured a repeat order valued at approximately 5.12 million Bahraini Dinars (around INR 118 crore) from the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Kingdom of Bahrain. The order covers five years of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for the 40 MLD Madinat Salman Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and Long Sea Outfall.

WABAG originally executed the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the Madinat Salman STP and Long Sea Outfall, awarded in 2015 by the Ministry of Housing, Bahrain. The facility was commissioned in 2018, and since then, WABAG has been responsible for its O&M, ensuring efficient and reliable wastewater treatment for the community.

With this contract extension, WABAG continues its partnership with Bahrain’s infrastructure authorities, reflecting the client’s trust in the company’s operational excellence, reliability, and performance track record. The renewed order underscores WABAG’s long-term commitment to providing safe, sustainable, and high-quality water services.
