WABAG Wins Order to Provide Advanced Water Solutions for RenewSys Solar Cell Manufacturing Facility

VA TECH WABAG (WABAG), a leading Indian multinational specializing in water technology, has secured a significant order from RenewSys India Private Limited (RenewSys) to deliver state-of-the-art water management systems for its upcoming 2 GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Hyderabad, Telangana. The scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning of an Ultrapure Water (UPW) system, an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and a Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system, to be completed within 11 months.

Valued at INR 46.50 crore, the project strengthens WABAG’s presence in the solar manufacturing sector while enhancing its credentials in high-purity water, wastewater treatment, and zero-discharge solutions. It also positions the company to tap into fast-growing opportunities in solar, green hydrogen, semiconductors, and other high-tech industries.
