Waaree Transpower Private Limited, a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Ltd, has secured an order worth approximately ₹160 crore from a leading global energy storage technology and solutions provider for the supply of 8.3 MVA Medium Voltage (MV) Skids for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) applications. The order strengthens Waaree Transpower’s presence in the global energy storage market and expands its export business. The company will supply its containerised MV Skid solutions for large-scale BESS projects across international markets.
The 8.3 MVA MV Skid is an IEC-standard compliant, plug-and-play solution developed specifically for BESS applications. The complete electrical system is integrated into a 20-foot container, allowing it to be transported, installed and commissioned efficiently at project locations.
The containerised design also provides flexibility for large-scale deployments, with the systems designed to be shippable and stackable. Shipments under the order began in July 2026. Battery Energy Storage Systems are playing an increasingly important role in supporting renewable power generation. As solar and wind capacity expands, energy storage helps manage variations in generation, improve grid flexibility and provide reliable power when renewable generation is unavailable. The latest order allows Waaree Transpower to expand its product offering beyond conventional power equipment and participate in the growing electrical infrastructure market supporting energy storage projects.
Viren Doshi, Director, Waaree Energies Ltd, said the order represents an important milestone for Waaree Transpower as it expands its presence in the global BESS market. He said the company’s containerised MV Skid solutions combine engineering capabilities, standardisation and deployment flexibility to meet the requirements of large energy storage projects across different markets.
The company said the order also supports its strategy of expanding across the renewable energy value chain. With increasing investments in battery storage, grid modernisation and renewable power integration, demand for reliable medium-voltage infrastructure is expected to increase.
Waaree Transpower Private Limited, formerly known as Kotsons Private Limited, is part of the Waaree Group and has more than four decades of experience in transformer manufacturing and power equipment.
