Waaree Solar Americas, the US.-based solar manufacturing arm of Waaree Energies Limited, has secured a contract to supply 236.22 MW of photovoltaic modules for a utility-scale solar power project in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. The order further strengthens the company’s growing presence in the U.S. renewable energy market while reinforcing its commitment to expanding domestic solar manufacturing.
Under the agreement, Waaree Solar Americas will deliver its high-efficiency N-Type G12R photovoltaic modules in 615 Wp and 620 Wp configurations. The modules will be manufactured at the company’s production facility in Brookshire, Texas, supporting local manufacturing and meeting the increasing demand for U.S.-made solar components.
The latest order marks another milestone in Waaree Solar Americas’ expansion strategy in North America, where demand for locally manufactured solar equipment continues to grow alongside investments in clean energy infrastructure. The company has been steadily strengthening its manufacturing capabilities to support utility-scale developers seeking reliable supply partners with advanced production facilities and consistent product quality.
The Kentucky project is expected to contribute to the state’s renewable energy capacity while supporting the development of resilient and domestically sourced solar infrastructure. By supplying modules manufactured within the United States, the project also aligns with efforts to strengthen local supply chains and enhance energy security.
Commenting on the development, Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree Group, said the contract reflects the confidence utility-scale developers have placed in the company’s manufacturing capabilities and execution expertise. He noted that the company’s advanced technology, product quality and dependable delivery continue to position it as a preferred partner for large-scale solar projects. He added that the United States remains a strategic market for Waaree, and the latest contract further reinforces its long-term commitment to supporting the country’s clean energy transition through domestic manufacturing.
Waaree Energies has built a substantial order pipeline across multiple markets, supported by growing demand for its solar solutions. The company continues to invest in expanding manufacturing capacity, technology development and supply chain capabilities to meet rising global demand for renewable energy equipment.
The Kentucky order adds to Waaree Solar Americas’ expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar projects across the United States. As renewable energy deployment accelerates across the country, the company aims to play a larger role in supporting developers with high-performance photovoltaic modules manufactured to international quality standards.
Through continued investments in advanced manufacturing and innovation, Waaree Solar Americas is positioning itself as a key contributor to the growth of North America’s solar industry while supporting the transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
