Waaree Renewable Technologies has announced the signing of an initial agreement with Viet Khanh Joint Stock Company for the turnkey execution of a 100MW photovoltaic solar power project in Vietnam. This partnership marks a significant step in the growing collaboration between India and Vietnam in the clean energy sector. It also represents the second joint venture between Waaree Group and Viet Khanh, following the successful completion of a 49.5 MW solar project in Cam Ranh province in 2019.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) underscores the continued commitment between the two parties, covering the full scope of design, engineering, construction, testing, and connection of the solar power plant to Vietnam’s national power grid.

Viren Doshi, Executive Director of Waaree Renewable Technologies, emphasized: “This collaboration reflects Waaree Group’s established reputation for delivering high-performance, bankable solar infrastructure on a global scale.” Once operational, the 100MW solar project is projected to offset around 130,000 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, which is equivalent to planting over 2 million trees every year.

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited is part of the Waaree Group and leads the group’s solar EPC operations. Headquartered in Mumbai, WRTL develops solar projects for industrial, commercial, and individual clients, offering both on-site installations and off-site solar plants. The Waaree Group has completed over 10,000 solar installations with a combined capacity exceeding 2.32 GW and continues to expand its presence in India’s clean energy market.
