In a move aimed at advancing sustainable manufacturing, Volt Energy (Volt Capital Private Limited) has successfully completed a 300-kilowatt rooftop solar installation at the Deco Group’s manufacturing facility in Kundli, Sonipat, Haryana. The project is helping Deco Group — a major name in consumer electronics — reduce its dependency on grid electricity by 25%, while accelerating progress toward its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
Covering more than 30,000 square feet of rooftop space, the newly installed solar plant is projected to generate over 367,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually. This translates to an estimated 400+ metric tons of CO₂ emissions avoided each year — equivalent to planting 6,000 trees or removing 90 cars from the road.
Speaking on the milestone, Rishabh Dev Bajaj, Director and Founder of Volt Energy, said, “This project exemplifies the impact of distributed renewable energy solutions. By converting unused rooftop space into a power-generating asset, we’re directly supporting carbon reduction and helping our partners like Deco Group lower long-term energy costs.”
Volt Energy’s solar project was delivered under its signature business model that allows industrial customers to go solar without upfront capital expenditure. This structure makes clean energy adoption more accessible for companies of all sizes.
Deco Group, which operates across 10 manufacturing sites in India and Sierra Leone, is steadily embedding renewable energy into its core business operations. The transition is not only improving the company’s ESG performance but also shielding it from rising energy prices and power supply disruptions.
Atul Jain, Managing Director of Deco Group, shared his experience: “The move to solar has significantly reduced our power bills while enhancing sustainability metrics. We evaluated multiple partners, and Volt Energy stood out with their flexible PPA model, technical depth, and responsive support. The transition to solar has been smooth and strategically valuable.”
In addition to its environmental impact, the system is expected to deliver lifetime savings of up to ₹9 crore, supported by real-time performance monitoring and proactive system maintenance for maximum efficiency. This initiative is part of Volt Energy’s expanding portfolio of renewable energy projects, reinforcing its role in enabling clean energy adoption across India’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Founded in 2023 by Rishabh Dev Bajaj (Founder & CEO) and Surbhi Bajaj (Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer), Volt Energy is focused on making clean energy adoption easy and risk-free for Indian businesses. The company offers a “Zero Investment, Zero Risk” rooftop solar model, allowing organizations to shift to solar energy with no upfront cost — paying only for the energy they use. Volt’s model removes financial and technical barriers, making solar an accessible and cost-effective option for companies nationwide.
