Vivint Pharma to Invest Rs 400 Crore in Injectable Facility

Vivint Pharma will invest Rs 400 crore to set up an injectables manufacturing facility in Genome Valley. This decision follows an MoU signed by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s delegation during their US visit. The new facility will create about 1,000 jobs.

Vivint Pharma already has an R&D center in Genome Valley and has now acquired 5.5 acres for its first manufacturing plant, aiming to strengthen its position in international markets. Chief Minister Reddy expressed his pleasure at this investment, noting Telangana’s commitment to fostering innovation in the life sciences sector.

Minister for Industries D Sridhar Babu highlighted the business-friendly environment of Telangana, which continues to attract pharmaceutical companies. The state government also signed an MoU with Corning Incorporated to collaborate on skilling and innovation, enhancing the workforce and technological advancements. Corning’s facility, set to begin production in mid-2025, will provide high-quality glass tubing for pharmaceutical packaging. The agreement was formalized during a meeting between Corning’s leadership and Telangana officials.
