After generating significant buzz at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, VinFast Auto India has started accepting pre-orders for its premium electric SUV models, the VF 6 and VF 7. These vehicles are set to hit the Indian market in August, shortly after the opening of the company’s new manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.

Customers across India can now reserve their vehicle either by visiting a showroom or through the official website, VinFastAuto.in. The reservation requires a fully refundable payment of ₹21,000. Both the VF 6 and VF 7 are designed to cater to Indian driving conditions and consumer expectations, with a strong focus on long-range capability, daily usability, and smart in-car technologies.

Whether for city driving, long-distance travel, or weekend trips, the two SUVs are engineered to offer a blend of performance, comfort, and advanced safety. The vehicles will be assembled in India, underscoring the company’s long-term plans to make the country a key part of its global supply and production network.

The VF 7 is a stylish electric SUV featuring a spacious, upscale cabin designed for comfort and modern driving. It comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a panoramic sunroof, a large touchscreen interface, wireless charging, and signature LED lighting that enhances its road presence.

Built with families in focus, the VF 6 combines everyday practicality with refined design. Like the VF 7, it offers advanced technology such as Level 2 ADAS, a smart infotainment system, connected services, and a wide glass roof to create an open, airy interior environment.

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO for the Asia region, shared his optimism about the launch, saying that the response at the mobility expo confirmed strong demand in India for sustainable transport solutions. He added that the VF 6 and VF 7 are tailored to meet both global standards and local preferences.

To back its launch, the company has teamed up with 13 dealer groups to open 32 outlets in 27 cities. These facilities will provide sales, service, and spare parts — ensuring a complete ownership experience. Cities on the rollout list include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and more.

To support charging and post-sales service, the firm has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure. These collaborations will enable nationwide access to EV charging stations, AI-based maintenance diagnostics, and integrated service platforms.

Reinforcing its focus on environmental responsibility, the company has formed a partnership with BatX Energies, an Indian firm specializing in battery recycling and reuse. This effort will support a circular economy model by recovering valuable materials from used batteries and extending their lifecycle.

VinFast, part of Vietnam’s Vingroup conglomerate, is a dedicated electric mobility brand producing a variety of EVs, including SUVs, scooters, and buses. With manufacturing bases in Vietnam and India, and expansion plans in the U.S., the company is scaling up fast to serve growing markets worldwide. The upcoming production facility in Tamil Nadu represents a ₹4,100 crore investment and is expected to roll out up to 1.5 lakh vehicles annually once fully operational, generating around 3,500 new jobs.
