Vikram Solar has been awarded a 150 megawatt solar module supply contract by Maharashtra State Power Generation Co Ltd (MAHAGENCO), a public sector company under the Government of Maharashtra. The agreement forms part of the Mukhyamantri Saur KrushiVahiniYojana (MSKVY) 2.0 initiative aimed at promoting clean energy adoption across the state.

Under the terms of the contract, Vikram Solar will deliver high-efficiency N-Type solar modules for installation across Jalgaon and Solapur districts. This order not only strengthens the company’s presence in the region but also reinforces its position on India’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM). The project is expected to contribute to Maharashtra’s renewable energy targets by enhancing solar power capacity and supporting efforts to reduce carbon emissions.

Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of Vikram Solar, expressed confidence in the project, highlighting its significance in the company’s broader vision for sustainable energy. He emphasized Maharashtra’s growing interest in renewable power and reaffirmed VikramSolar’s commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality solutions that support long-term environmental and economic goals. Vikram Solar Limited, headquartered in Kolkata, stands as one of India’s foremost solar energy companies, specializing in the manufacturing of photovoltaic (PV) modules and providing comprehensive solar energy solutions. Since its inception in 2005, the company has expanded its manufacturing capacity to 4.5 GW as of March 2024, positioning itself as a significant player in the renewable energy sector.

Beyond module manufacturing, Vikram Solar offers engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) for solar power plants. The company’s commitment to innovation is evident in its development of India’s first floating solar plant and its contributions to solarizing the world’s first fully solar-powered airport in Kochi. With a global presence spanning six continents, Vikram Solar continues to drive the adoption of sustainable energy solutions worldwide.
