Vikram Solar has expanded its solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing capacity by 1 gigawatt (GW) at its Falta facility in West Bengal. Additionally, the Oragadam facility in Chennai has undergone technological upgrades, enabling the production of advanced TOPCon and HJT modules to enhance efficiency.
With these expansions, Vikram Solar’s annual production capacity has now reached 4.5 GW, marking a significant milestone in the company’s renewable energy growth. The Falta expansion, which began with equipment installation on December 5, 2024, has successfully achieved its planned 1 GW capacity addition. Meanwhile, the Chennai facility upgrade, initiated on July 19, 2024, has further strengthened the company’s production capabilities.
Speaking on the expansion, Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman & Managing Director of Vikram Solar, stated, “Both projects incorporate advanced manufacturing techniques, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to global sustainability standards.”
