Vignesh Polymers Begins Construction of New Air Conditioning Division Facility at SIPCOT Industrial Park

Vignesh Polymers India Private Limited has commenced construction of its new Air Conditioning Division with a ground-breaking ceremony held at the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Sriperumbudur Taluk. This upcoming facility marks the company’s 10th manufacturing unit.

The new plant is being developed as a fully integrated production unit dedicated to air conditioning systems. It will include sheet metal fabrication, heat exchanger and copper tubing lines, injection moulding, EPS packing operations, and in-house manufacturing of propeller and crossflow fans. The facility is designed to handle all production processes under one roof.

The ceremony was attended by senior representatives from Blue Star, including Mohit Sud (Group President, CPAG Division), Nithianand S (Executive VP, P&SCM), Haridas C (Executive VP, Sales & Marketing), and others from procurement, quality assurance, and plant operations. Also present was Satyaban Behera, Zonal Head of Union Bank of India, Chennai.

The event began with a Tamil Thai Valthu recital and a lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the official ground-breaking ritual. A symbolic tree-planting activity was also conducted, reflecting the company’s focus on environmental responsibility alongside its expansion efforts.

Established in 2005 and based in Chennai, Vignesh Polymers is a manufacturer of components and modules for the appliance, automotive, and emerging electric vehicle sectors. The company operates seven manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu and Goa, employing over 600 professionals. It currently produces over 460 components across various categories.

The company’s manufacturing capabilities include injection moulding, blow moulding, EPS moulding, sheet metal fabrication, welding, painting, and the production of BLDC motors, crossflow fans, and components for room air conditioners. It has also expanded into food and beverage packaging under the Sowkea brand and entered the EV market through Vignesh Electric.

Vignesh Polymers was founded by RB Sivakumar, a first-generation entrepreneur with a background in plastics mould-making technology from CIPET, Ahmedabad. With over two decades of industry experience and training in South Korea and Taiwan, he continues to lead the company’s growth in precision manufacturing and technological adoption.
