Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd (VSTL) has officially commissioned its new manufacturing unit in Sundargarh, Odisha, with an annual production capacity of 1.56 lakh tonnes. This expansion brings the company’s total installed capacity to 3.77 lakh tonnes per annum across its operations.
Developed with an investment of ₹119.83 crore, the Odisha facility is geared toward addressing the rising demand for steel products in Eastern India. The plant is equipped to manufacture a range of specialized items, including road safety crash barriers, high mast lighting poles, and monopoles—key components in infrastructure and industrial development projects.
With the addition of the Sundargarh unit, VSTL now runs three production sites located in Maharashtra, Telangana, and Odisha. This geographically diversified footprint strengthens the company’s supply chain and enhances responsiveness to regional market needs.
Commenting on the development, Vijay Kaushik, Chairman and Executive Director of VSTL, stated, “The commissioning of the Sundargarh plant, along with the start of electricity supply, marks a major milestone for us. It reflects our commitment to scaling up operations with a focus on premium, value-added steel products and tapping into newer, high-potential markets.”
This latest expansion aligns with Vibhor Steel Tubes’ broader strategy to drive profitability through innovation, regional growth, and a greater share of customized steel solutions tailored to evolving industry requirements.
Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd, headquartered in Hisar, is a prominent Indian manufacturer and exporter of steel pipes and tubes, catering to sectors such as construction, agriculture, and industrial infrastructure. The company operates three major plants—located in Maharashtra, Telangana, and Odisha—with a combined production capacity of approximately 3.77 lakh tonnes per annum.
Its product lineup includes ERW black pipes, galvanized pipes, hollow sections, primer-painted tubes, crash barriers, high‑mast lighting poles, monopoles, and octagonal and hexagonal poles—addressing diverse infrastructure and power transmission needs. In early 2025, Vibhor launched trial production at its new 1.2 lakh tonne-per-year greenfield facility in Sundargarh, Odisha, which began operations using captive generators and aims for full commercial output by month-end once grid connection is secured. Backed by an investment of about ₹119.83 crore funded through debt and internal accruals, this expansion strengthens the company’s presence in Eastern India and enhances its capacity to produce value-added steel products.
