Vexve has entered into an agreement to acquire BROEN ApS, a Denmark-headquartered valve manufacturer, from Aalberts NV, which has owned the company since 1993. Established in 1948, BROEN designs and manufactures valve solutions serving district energy, gas, marine, and building installation markets. The company employs approximately 500 people and operates from its headquarters in Assens, Denmark, with manufacturing facilities located in Denmark, Poland, and the United States.

The acquisition will reinforce Vexve’s leadership across its core markets by integrating BROEN’s complementary product range, well-recognised brand, and long-standing technical expertise. Following the transaction, the combined group will employ more than 1,400 people, with expanded geographic coverage, increased manufacturing scale, and strengthened capabilities in product development and innovation. Together, the two companies will be better positioned to address rising global demand for dependable and energy-efficient valve solutions, driven by the accelerating transition toward renewable and low-carbon energy systems.

Commenting on the transaction, Paul Gustavsson, CEO of Vexve, said, “The acquisition of BROEN represents a significant milestone in our growth strategy. Both organisations are known for quality, reliability, and strong customer relationships. By bringing our strengths together, we can broaden our offering, accelerate innovation, and deliver enhanced value to customers across global markets.”

Ken Sørensen, CEO of BROEN, added, “BROEN has a proud history spanning more than seven decades, and joining Vexve marks an exciting new chapter for the company. We share a common focus on quality, sustainability, and technical excellence. As part of Vexve, we look forward to continuing to support our customers with advanced valve solutions as the industry moves toward a low-carbon future.”The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Vexve is a leading European supplier of mission-critical valve solutions for industrial energy infrastructure. The company serves customers in over 70 countries and employs around 900 people across manufacturing facilities in Finland, Denmark, Czechia, Germany, and China. Vexve is majority owned by DevCo Partners, a long-term industrial owner focused on building global leaders in specialised niche markets.
