In response to evolving regulations and the push for ecological transformation, Veolia has launched PlastiLoop in Asia as part of its GreenUp strategy. This initiative aims to expedite the integration of affordable, scalable solutions for pollution reduction, decarbonization, and resource regeneration. Through PlastiLoop, Veolia helps brand owners increase the use of recycled polymers in their products, reducing their carbon footprint by 70% to 95% compared to virgin plastics.
“Addressing the plastics challenge demands a rethinking of strategies by brand owners. We’re excited to introduce PlastiLoop to brand owners in Asia, building on our presence in Europe. With twelve recycling facilities across China, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia and an annual output capacity of 250,000 tonnes, we are well-positioned to support circular polymer use in Asian operations. Our feedstock is locally sourced from formal and informal sectors, helping foster local markets and support circularity,” said Laurent Bickert, Veolia Asia’s Director for Waste Major Projects and Commercial Development. “PlastiLoop will assist brand owners in meeting their sustainability goals and aligning with consumer demand for eco-friendly products.”
Veolia, with a strong presence at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe, is set to unveil PlastiLoop at the inaugural PRSA. The company will showcase a range of recycled plastic products designed to meet diverse industrial needs and specific commercial and technical requirements. For more information, visit the PlastiLoop by Veolia booth No. J4 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center in Singapore on November 13th and 14th.
