Vedanta Resources, a global player in natural resources, energy, and technology, has appointed Deshnee Naidoo as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 20, 2025. Deshnee, formerly CEO of Vale Base Metals, brings extensive leadership experience in the resources sector.
She previously served Vedanta from 2014 to 2020, holding key roles as CEO of Africa Base Metals and CEO of Vedanta Zinc International. With 27 years in the industry, her expertise spans multiple regions and a diverse range of metals and minerals.
Announcing her appointment, Anil Agarwal, Chairman of Vedanta Group, stated, “Deshnee joins us at a transformative period. After 25 years of establishing Vedanta as a leader in India’s resources sector, we are now entering a new era of growth, with a vision to become a $100 billion company in critical minerals, energy, and technology.
