Vedanta Limited, a global leader in natural resources and sustainability, has unveiled its inaugural Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) report. This milestone aligns the company’s operations with global sustainability goals, reinforcing its commitment to transparency, accountability, and environmental stewardship as part of its robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.
The TNFD framework enables businesses to assess, manage, and disclose their impacts and dependencies on nature. Vedanta’s report outlines initiatives to mitigate biodiversity loss and nature-related risks while pursuing sustainable growth. Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Chairperson of Hindustan Zinc and Non-Executive Director of Vedanta Ltd., emphasized that the report serves as a blueprint for integrating biodiversity considerations into business strategies, ensuring sustainable growth while safeguarding ecosystems.

The company is also advancing waste-to-wealth programs and aims for net-positive biodiversity impact and net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
