Vedanta Aluminium, the leading aluminium producer in India, has announced the appointment of Luca Zipponi as CEO of its Rolled Products division. Zipponi will be tasked with overseeing all operations within this segment, which serves a range of industries including automotive, insulation, power projects, electrical components, and packaging.
With over three decades of experience, Zipponi brings extensive expertise to the role, having previously held key leadership positions across Europe and Asia. He most recently served as the Group Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director UK at Reflexallen Group. His proven track record in operations and strategic planning is expected to play a crucial role in driving the growth and innovation of Vedanta Aluminium’s rolled products business.
Vedanta Aluminium’s Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) in Korba, Chhattisgarh, boasts a modern rolled products facility with a capacity of 72,000 tonnes per annum. The facility is equipped with advanced casting stations, continuous casters, hot rolled mills, and cold rolled mills.
