VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has entered into a partnership with Baidyanath LNG Pvt Ltd to deploy 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks. The agreement, signed during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marks a significant step in promoting the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in long-haul transportation and developing LNG corridors across Central India.
This collaboration follows an earlier memorandum of understanding signed in August 2024 during the inauguration of Baidyanath LNG’s station in Nagpur, where the first fleet of Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks was launched. The joint effort will focus on expanding India’s LNG ecosystem, with plans to deploy LNG-powered trucks with fleet operators, provide training on LNG technology, and build a reliable LNG fueling network. This initiative aims to drive the adoption of cleaner, more efficient transportation solutions.
The Eicher Pro 6055 LNG truck features advanced Volvo Group engine technology, with a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine offering 260 HP and 1000 Nm of torque. It also includes a comfortable air-suspended driver seat, HVAC system, and advanced telematics for vehicle management and predictive diagnostics, accessible via the My Eicher app and Uptime Centre.
