The German Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau), VDMA in India is organising two international symposiums at Pune and Bangalore this September to create awareness about the emerging trends in the manufacturing process.

Manufacturing trends in the coming decade aren’t going to vastly change, but the way in which they are produced will continue to change and evolve, eventually becoming unrecognizable compared to practices used even 20 or 30 years ago. It is critical that manufacturers with outmoded techniques and processes look to invest in upgrading.
There is no time to waste: manufacturers looking to stay competitive need to serve their customers in new ways; become more agile and flexible; and attract the right skills and talent. There are several evolving technologies and trends expected to shape the manufacturing industry this year and beyond. Therefore, those in the industry must have a keen interest in what they are, how to adapt over time.
“In the light of this burgeoning potential in the manufacturing technology growth, we are creating a creating a comprehensive awareness on the emerging trends in manufacturing competitiveness organizing the International Symposium on Emerging Technology Trends in Manufacturing Processes”, informed Rajesh Nath, Managing Director of VDMA India. The event is organised by VDMA along with their international partners, Contrinex, Destaco, EAC Consulting, Messer Cutting, Tox Pressotechnik, Fronius, and Trumpf.
The Pune event is scheduled on 01st September 2021, and at Hyatt Regency, Pune and the Bangalore event are scheduled on 03rd September 2021 at The Lalit Ashok Bangalore. Rajesh Nath of VDMA India, Dr.-Ing. Wolfgang Pfeiffer of TOX PRESSOTECHNIK, Sachin Gambhire of Trumpf India, Unmesh Lohite of EAC Mumbai, and Abhijeet Ghodke of Contrinex Automation will be speaking at both events.
Sameer Mathur of Schaeffler India, Utkarsh Landekar of Messer Cutting Systems, Amil Kharinar of Destaco India will be talking at Pune, and Friedrich Birgelen of German Consulate, Gunjan Krishna of Government of Karnataka, Janak Bhuva of Messer Cutting Systems and Rahul Raje of Fronius India will be talking at Bangalore event exclusively. The two Technical Sessions at the Bangalore symposium would be chaired by A N Chandramouli, Board Member, Starrag India and B R Indushekar, Vice President & General manager, Volvo Constructions, who would be sharing their perspectives on the topic and coordinating the sessions.
The key takeaways of the event will be in understanding the fundamental importance of the growth in technologies in Manufacturing Processing, the recent trends in a few Technologies development in Welding, Laser Cutting and Joining technologies and its impact on the manufacturing process. The developments in Manufacturing Technologies would be crucial drivers in Improving Quality and Productivity in the processes and finally products that improve customer satisfaction.
The event will talk about the skill gap prevailing in the Manufacturing Industry due to the technological leaps and the importance of training and skill development of the people.
The event also will touch upon Artificial Intelligence, Industry 4.0, iot that are prevalent in few trending technologies in Cutting, Welding and Joining Industries, tracing the evolution of the manufacturing technologies in key Industries like Welding, Cutting and Joining and the role they have played in the growth of Industries, and the Government impetus to these sectors with their initiatives through “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and PLI schemes.
