Varroc Appoints Padmanabh Sinha as Independent Director

Varroc, a leading global Tier-1 automotive supplier, has announced the appointment of Padmanabh Sinha as an Independent Director on its Board, effective July 18, 2025. This marks Mr Sinha’s return to the board and underscores Varroc’s commitment to strong governance, strategic foresight, and creating long-term value for its stakeholders.

With over 25 years of experience in India’s investment landscape, Mr Sinha has held key leadership roles in private equity and technology entrepreneurship. His extensive background spans global and domestic investment institutions, focusing on capital allocation, investment stewardship, and value creation through various market cycles. His expertise will be pivotal in strengthening Varroc’s growth strategy and governance framework.

Mr. Sinha holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science (Hons) from BITS Pilani, an MBA from IIM Calcutta, and has completed the Executive Development Program in Private Equity at Harvard Business School.

Currently, Mr Sinha serves as the Managing Partner and Co-founder of LaunchBay Capital, a growth-stage private equity firm that focuses on mid-market, India-based businesses across sectors such as Consumer, Healthcare, Industrials, Financial Services, and Technology. Before founding LaunchBay Capital, Mr. Sinha held senior roles at the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), Temasek, and Tata Opportunities Fund, gaining deep expertise in fundraising, investment, portfolio management, and exits.

Varroc Engineering Ltd, founded in 1988, is a global Tier-1 automotive component supplier, offering end-to-end solutions in e-mobility, body systems, lighting, HMI, ICE powertrains, and advanced electronics. The group’s income for FY25 was ₹81,718 million, with over 6,100 employees, including 750+ R&D engineers. It operates 37 manufacturing facilities worldwide, supported by 7 R&D centers and more than 120 patents.
