Vardhman Textiles announced on Thursday that its board has approved a ₹350 crore investment to enhance the processed fabric capacity at Vardhman Fabrics in Budhni, Madhya Pradesh. The expansion will add approximately 31 million meters per annum to its existing capacity of 175 million meters, which is currently operating at over 90% utilization.
In a regulatory filing, the company stated, “The Board of Directors has approved an increase in processed fabric capacity at Vardhman Fabrics, Budhni, Madhya Pradesh, by around 31 million meters per annum with a capital outlay of ₹350 crore.”
The expansion, slated for completion within two years, will be funded through internal accruals or debt. The additional capacity is aimed at meeting growing demand for processed fabrics in both domestic and international markets.
In October, Vardhman Textiles reported its Q2FY25 results, showing a 4.38% year-on-year rise in revenue and a substantial 46.57% growth in profit. Quarter-on-quarter, revenue increased by 8.4%, while profit declined by 17.47%.
