VA Tech Wabag has secured a major ₹1,000 crore contract from Indosol Solar Private Limited. This project marks the company’s entry into providing water security for the solar photovoltaic (PV) sector. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 100 million liters per day (MLD) desalination plant, which will be completed over 38 months.
Following the plant’s completion, VA Tech Wabag will handle its operation and maintenance for 15 years. The plant will employ advanced desalination technology to deliver high energy efficiency and meet the water needs of Indosol Solar’s 10 GW integrated Solar PV manufacturing unit in Andhra Pradesh.
