Uno Minda’s Vietnam e-Drives Acquisition from Friwo on Track for Completion by July 22

Uno Minda Limited has shared an update on its planned acquisition of the e-Drives business assets in Vietnam from Friwo. In a regulatory filing with both the NSE and BSE, the company confirmed that the deal remains in progress and is expected to be completed on or before July 22, 2025.

This announcement builds on Uno Minda’s earlier communication dated July 2 and serves to inform stakeholders about the transaction’s current status. The acquisition is part of Uno Minda’s broader strategy to strengthen its capabilities in the electric mobility segment. The company stated that additional updates will be shared as the transaction advances.

Uno Minda Limited, formerly Minda Industries Limited, is a key Tier-1 supplier of automotive systems and components to leading OEMs in India and abroad. Established in 1958 and incorporated in 1992, the company manufactures products spanning over 28 categories for vehicles including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, two- and three-wheelers, and off-road equipment. These solutions support both traditional internal combustion engines and electric vehicle platforms.
