Uno Minda Limited has announced plans to acquire full ownership of Uno Minda Buehler Motor Private Limited by purchasing the stake held by its German partner, Buehler Motor GmbH. The move was disclosed as the company sought preliminary approval for the transaction.

Established in December 2022, the joint venture focuses on the manufacturing of traction motors used in electric two- and three-wheelers. It specializes in electronically commutated DC motors and related machinery. The acquisition aligns with Uno Minda’s existing operations in the automotive components industry, signaling a strategic fit.

The company stated that no regulatory approvals are required to complete the deal. However, the final transaction value, payment structure, shareholding percentage to be acquired, and closing timeline will be finalized following the approval of its Mergers and Acquisition Committee.
