UNITED GRINDING Group is set to showcase a diverse array of machine tools and digital assistance systems at this year’s BI-MU exhibition in Milan. The company will present four machines across its cylindrical grinding, surface and profile grinding, and tool machining divisions, alongside several products from the UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™ portfolio.
In the cylindrical grinding segment, STUDER will unveil its latest automation innovation, the insertLoad, paired with the S31 universal external cylindrical grinding machine. This automation solution offers a blend of standardization and flexibility and can be easily managed through the C.O.R.E. panel. The S31 machine, known for its versatility, is suitable for small to large workpieces and supports various production needs, from individual parts to series production, thanks to its modular design and high level of configurability.
BLOHM will present the PLANOMAT XT Essential in the surface and profile grinding category. This 3-axis surface grinding machine is designed for entry-level use, optimized for both reciprocating and creep-feed grinding methods.
In tool machining, attendees can explore the HELITRONIC MINI PLUS tool grinding machine, which features C.O.R.E. technology. This machine is ideal for the flexible production and resharpening of small and medium-sized tool diameters. It also includes the innovative Laser Contour Check, which enables non-contact measurement of various tool parameters. Additionally, visitors can see the HELICHECK PLUS CNC measuring machine in action, equipped with a fourth camera offering 400x magnification for capturing and measuring intricate geometries on cutting tools.
The exhibition will also feature live demonstrations of UNITED GRINDING’s digital assistance systems. The UNITED GRINDING Digital Solutions™ platform offers tools like “Remote Service,” which provides direct, secure support from the machine’s C.O.R.E. panel to the UNITED GRINDING Customer Care Team, allowing for swift remote assistance. Additionally, the “Production Monitor” feature enables real-time monitoring of production data across all connected machines, offering operators a comprehensive view of their operations at a glance.
