Ultraviolette Automotive, an electric motorcycle manufacturer, has begun exporting its F77 Mach 2 model to the European Union, with Union Minister for Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy inaugurating the first shipment on Tuesday.
This initiative aims to bolster India’s standing in the global electric vehicle (EV) market, as stated by the company. Kumaraswamy highlighted the significance of Ultraviolette’s move into Europe, noting it as a pivotal moment for India’s automotive sector and showcasing the country’s potential to compete internationally.
The flag-off ceremony took place at Ultraviolette’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, attended by Karnataka’s Minister for Industries and Commerce, M.B. Patil, along with other officials. The Union Minister emphasized that this export initiative exemplifies how Indian startups are driving innovation in vital sectors like electric mobility. He added that it aligns with the government’s goal of establishing India as a global hub for EV manufacturing.
