Ultraviolette has achieved a landmark accomplishment in global motorcycling by becoming the first Indian production motorcycle manufacturer to complete the renowned Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit. The milestone has been officially acknowledged by the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records, further highlighting India’s growing presence in advanced electric mobility.
On June 6, 2026, a fleet of Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles successfully completed a lap of the iconic 37.72-mile (60.72-kilometre) Mountain Course, one of the most demanding and celebrated motorcycle circuits in the world. The motorcycles were piloted by former Isle of Man TT race winner James Hillier, motorcycle enthusiast and television personality Ranvijay Singha, and multiple-time national champion Abhishek Vasudev.
The achievement marks a significant moment for India’s electric vehicle sector, demonstrating the capability of domestically engineered electric motorcycles on one of the most challenging stages in global motorcycling. Completing the course required the motorcycles to perform consistently across a route known for its technical complexity, elevation changes and demanding riding conditions.
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, described the accomplishment as an important milestone for both the company and Indian engineering. He noted that the successful completion of the Mountain Course reflects the rapid progress of electric motorcycle technology and validates the performance potential of electric mobility solutions developed in India.
He further highlighted the historical significance of the Isle of Man TT in shaping motorcycle innovation, pointing to the influence of the former TT Zero category in demonstrating the possibilities of electric racing. According to him, modern electric motorcycles have evolved considerably, creating opportunities for electric racing to once again play a prominent role in advancing two-wheeler technology.
The record has been formally registered under the title “First Indian Production Motorcycle to Complete a Lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit,” with the Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 serving as the motorcycle used for the achievement. Official confirmation of the record was issued on June 8, 2026, by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records.
Founded in 2016, Ultraviolette has emerged as a pioneer in electric vehicle platforms and battery technologies. The company has expanded its international presence across Europe and is the first Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer to secure European certification for its products. This latest accomplishment reinforces Ultraviolette’s ambition to position Indian electric mobility technology among the world’s leading performance-driven innovations.
