TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has secured a major multi-year agreement with JCB India, entrusting them with the management of in-plant warehousing and logistics at JCB’s Vadodara facility in Gujarat. This three-year contract further solidifies the deep-rooted partnership between the two companies, which has been established for over twenty years.
Under this renewed agreement, TVS SCS will deliver a comprehensive suite of logistics services, encompassing unloading, storage, picking, and lineside feeding at JCB’s Vadodara plant, which is crucial for exporting components to JCB’s global manufacturing sites.
The Vadodara facility plays a pivotal role in JCB’s international operations, making effective logistics management crucial for maintaining operational excellence. K. Sukumar, CEO of TVS SCS India, expressed his enthusiasm about the new contract, stating, “We are excited to extend our logistics expertise to JCB’s Vadodara facility, offering state-of-the-art warehousing solutions that will enhance operational efficiency.”
Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director of JCB India, underscored the profound importance of this partnership by emphasizing that TVS SCS’s specialized expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing and refining the supply chain operations at the Vadodara plant. He highlighted that the extensive experience and advanced logistical solutions provided by TVS SCS are expected to be instrumental in streamlining the complex processes involved in managing the plant’s logistics.
As part of the contract, TVS SCS will introduce advanced Material Handling Equipment (MHEs) and deploy around 110 personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This strategic collaboration is expected to substantially boost JCB’s manufacturing efficiency and strengthen the company’s global supply chain network.
