TVS Motor Company has launched the TVS Apache Junior Programme, a new initiative aimed at identifying and training young racing talent in India. As part of the programme, the company handed over 10 specially developed TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles to the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC), creating a structured platform for aspiring racers between the ages of 10 and 14 years.

The programme is designed to provide professional rider training in a safe and controlled environment. Young participants will receive coaching from experienced instructors and TVS Racing professionals at the Madras International Karting Arena (MIKA). The initiative focuses on developing riding skills, discipline, precision, confidence and safety from an early age, helping build a strong foundation for competitive motorsport.

The TVS Apache RR 200 Mini motorcycles have been developed specifically for young riders and will be used exclusively for training under expert supervision. Through this initiative, TVS Racing aims to create a clear pathway for children who aspire to pursue professional motorcycle racing in the future.

The Apache Junior Programme introduces participants to the fundamentals of racing while ensuring that safety remains the highest priority. Every rider will undergo structured coaching using purpose-built motorcycles, protective riding gear and internationally accepted training practices.

The programme also establishes a step-by-step development route for future racers. Riders who complete the junior programme can move into the TVS One Make Championship Rookie Category after the age of 15, followed by the RR 310 Expert Category and eventually international racing opportunities under the TVS Racing platform.

Speaking on the occasion, Vimal Sumbly, Head – Premium Business, TVS Motor Company, said the company has been committed to promoting motorsport in India for more than four decades. He said the Apache Junior Programme fills an important gap by providing professional racing education to children before they become eligible for competitive circuit racing. According to him, the programme will help nurture young talent while strengthening India’s grassroots motorsport ecosystem.

The initiative also reflects TVS Motor Company’s broader vision of creating engaging experiences for young enthusiasts through motorsport, gaming and interactive learning platforms. The company believes these experiences help children develop confidence, discipline and valuable life skills beyond racing.

The launch comes as the TVS Apache brand celebrates 20 years of performance engineering and racing heritage. With a global community of more than seven million riders across 90 countries, the Apache brand continues to represent TVS Racing’s “Track to Road” philosophy by bringing race-proven technology to production motorcycles.

TVS Racing, established in 1982, remains one of India’s leading motorsport programmes. Through rider training, racing championships and technology development, the company continues to promote professional motorcycle racing while encouraging safe and responsible riding practices. The Apache Junior Programme marks another important step in building the next generation of Indian racing talent and strengthening the country’s motorsport ecosystem.
