TVS Motor Q3 Profit Rises 20% to ₹609.35 Crore on Strong Sales Growth

TVS Motor Company reported a 20% increase in its consolidated net profit for the December 2024 quarter, reaching ₹609.35 crore compared to ₹509.61 crore in the same period last year, according to a regulatory filing. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations rose to ₹11,134.63 crore in Q3 FY25, up from ₹10,113.94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Total expenses for the quarter stood at ₹10,272.62 crore, higher than ₹9,362.83 crore a year earlier.

TVS Motor’s overall two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, grew by 10% to 12.12 lakh units during the quarter, compared to 11.01 lakh units in Q3 FY24. Motorcycle sales increased by 6% to 5.56 lakh units, while scooter sales surged by 22% to 4.93 lakh units. However, three-wheeler sales declined to 29,000 units from 38,000 units in the same quarter last year.

Electric scooter sales saw robust growth, rising by 57% to 76,000 units in the December 2024 quarter, compared to 48,000 units in the year-ago period. The strong performance was driven by higher sales across product categories, positioning TVS Motor for continued growth in the evolving automotive market.
