The TVS RT-XD4 engine platform incorporates four key dual technologies that enhance its performance. These include a Dual Overhead Cam with a downdraft port for higher revs, dual oil pumps for optimal lubrication, a dual cooling jacket cylinder head that improves cooling efficiency, and a dual breather system to minimize oil contamination. Additional features such as plasma spray-coating, superior thermal management, and a high-inertia shell bearing crankshaft ensure a smooth and refined performance for riders. The platform is designed to support ethanol-blended fuels, reduce emissions, and enhance the overall reliability of the engine, making it ideal for both high performance and environmental sustainability.
The first engine to utilize the TVS RT-XD4 platform is the 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, which delivers 35 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. Equipped with a six-speed gearbox, ride-by-wire throttle, and an assist and slipper clutch, the engine promises both high efficiency and a thrilling ride.
TVS MotoSoul 4.0, a celebration of innovation and the rider spirit, also featured exciting activities such as custom motorcycle showcases, stunt competitions, and record-breaking performances, including a 6,300-kilometer ride on the TVS NTORQ.
