TVS Motor Company, a prominent global player in the two and three-wheeler industry, has introduced its OBD-2B compliant vehicles, starting with the TVS Jupiter 110. The vehicle will be available for purchase across India at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 76,691 for the base variant in New Delhi.
By March 2025, TVS aims to transition its entire product lineup to meet OBD-2B standards. The OBD-2B compliant vehicles from TVS feature significant upgrades in sensor technology and onboard capabilities.
The OBD-2B system uses advanced sensors to gather data on throttle response, air-fuel mixture, engine temperature, fuel level, and engine speed. The vehicle’s Engine Control Unit (ECU) then performs real-time analysis of this data based on pre-programmed parameters to ensure optimal performance. This system helps the vehicles run in an eco-friendly manner throughout their lifespan, ensuring greater durability and environmental sustainability.
