TVS Motor Co., which is seeing strong export performance this fiscal year, is focusing on growth in the Egyptian market for both two- and three-wheelers. On January 25, Ezz LCV, the official distributor for TVS in Egypt, opened a new assembly line in Giza, investing approximately US$ 6.5 million (Rs 54 crore) to enhance its local manufacturing capabilities.

This new facility, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units, will help Ezz LCV meet the growing demand for two-wheelers in Egypt. The plant will produce popular TVS models, including the Apache RTR Series, HLX Series motorcycles, and the XL 100 moped.

Local production will enable faster delivery times, better support for the dealer network, and the ability to cater to the specific preferences of Egyptian customers. TVS Motor’s product range in Egypt includes the Apache RTR 200 4V, Apache RTR 160 4V, and Star HLX 150 models.

Amr Ezz El Alarab, CEO of Ezz LCV, said, “Our partnership with TVS has been instrumental in offering premium, reliable two-wheelers in Egypt. This new facility reinforces our commitment to meeting the needs of local riders with seven flagship models.”

Rahul Nayak, Vice-President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, added, “We congratulate Ezz LCV on the opening of this assembly line, marking a significant milestone for our expansion in Egypt. This facility will not only strengthen our position in the market but also create job opportunities, benefiting the local economy.”

The new assembly line combines TVS Motor’s engineering expertise with local manufacturing to enhance Ezz LCV’s market position, catering to the increasing demand for innovative, affordable two-wheelers in Egypt.
