TVS Motor Company and Sundaram Clayton and its associated companies have declared an amount of 40 Crores to provide aid for the Covid19 pandemic. It is announced that the funds will be used to deliver life-saving supplies. Oxygen concentrators, PPE Kits, medicines, and also other medical equipment are in need across the country.
The initiative is invested by Srinivasan Services Trust (SST). It is the social branch of TVS Motor Company and Sundaram-Clayton Ltd. for the second wave of COVID19 going over India.TVs will be supplying 2,000 oxygen concentrators to hospitals and health centers and over 20,000 food packets per day for essential services workers in the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh.
With the Oxygen Concentrates and foods, over a million face masks, thousands of oximeter, PPE kits, hand sanitizers, and essential medicines will be distributed to 500+ government health centers and hospitals of the above-mentioned states.
The company implies that this initiative will go on to boost the contribution to COVID19 centers in rural areas too. TVS Motor Company is also serving two hospitals Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital and Stanley Medical College Hospital in Chennai. The company is supporting them with all the supplies and aid in treating COVID19 patients. Except this TVS is helping local authorities. The company has donated two ambulances for villages near Hosur and Mysore, where they have their factories.
They affirmed that the ambulances are equipped with essential medical facilities to treat patients with mild COVID19 symptoms in unexpected hours. TVS Motor assured that to cover solely medical expenses of COVID19 treatment to all employees. They have vaccinated all the employees aged above 45 and also have commenced with above 18 employees. Recently TVS has initiated an exclusive employee connect dashboard TVS-ICE (In Case of The Emergency) App. It is an emergency response application for their employees and the families of employees for the necessity of health, hospitalization, home care, common medical support, insurance, pregnancy, and financial support.
