Turbostart, a global venture capital platform, celebrated its 5th anniversary with the launch of TS Bridge, an innovative platform aimed at broadening access to high-potential startup investments. The launch event at The Leela Palace Hotel in Bengaluru brought together leaders from industry, investors, and startup founders to mark this milestone.
TS Bridge redefines the investment landscape by allowing investors to co-invest with Turbostart in high-potential startups. With two investment categories—Scout, targeting campus-led innovation, and Rise, supporting ventures up to Series A—the platform enables investors to back startups that have been rigorously evaluated, leveraging Turbostart’s expertise.
In a sector where due diligence can be complex, TS Bridge enhances the investment process by offering access to institution-backed startups, simplifying deal validation, portfolio tracking, and investment access. This platform aims to make the investment process more transparent and efficient.
The event was graced by Shri Priyank Kharge, Karnataka’s Minister for Information Technology, Biotechnology, Rural Development, and Panchayat Raj. It also featured an engaging panel discussion, “AI: Beyond the Buzz,” with industry experts, including Ajit Naidu of TIAA, Shourya Agarwal of Flam, Udit G from Google Cloud India, and Prithvijit Roy from Accenture, moderated by SpaceBasic’s CEO, Madhavi Shankar. The panel explored AI’s impact on startup investments and future tech potential.
Reflecting on Turbostart’s journey, Founder and CEO Ganesh Raju said, “Since 2019, we’ve grown from building a fund to creating a global network with six funds across India, the Middle East, the US, and Singapore. By 2029, our vision is to support over 250 startups and work with 700 investors and 600 team members. This journey is about pushing boundaries and creating connections that drive global innovation.”
Venkat Raju, CEO and Founding Partner of Turbostart Global, shared his enthusiasm: “TS Bridge is here to transform angel investing by offering a unique co-investment platform backed by Turbostart’s insights. TS Bridge empowers investors to invest with the same terms as Turbostart, creating a gateway for global investments and high-growth startups.”
A fireside chat featuring Minister Shri Priyank Kharge highlighted Karnataka’s role as a global tech hub. “Karnataka is not just an investment destination; it’s a global knowledge capital. With programs like Elevate and Nipuna Karnataka, we are empowering local talent and fostering an innovative ecosystem,” said Minister Kharge.
He proposed an ‘Elevate Plus’ initiative, inviting the VC community and Turbostart to partner with the government in advancing startups for global competitiveness. As Turbostart looks ahead, TS Bridge symbolizes its commitment to innovation, creating a more inclusive and transparent landscape for startup investments.
