Tsugami Precision Engineering India Private Limited is set to mark a major milestone with the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Vallam Vadagal, Chennai, on 4th December 2025. This expansion represents a significant step forward in Tsugami’s long-term strategy for India, which now functions as one of the company’s key global manufacturing bases, complementing its established operations in Japan and China.

The new factory features expanded buildings, upgraded production lines, advanced machinery, and enhanced infrastructure to support a broader and more flexible manufacturing base. One of the major highlights of the facility is its integrated state-of-the-art foundry, designed to supply high-precision castings for Tsugami’s CNC machines.

With this expansion, Tsugami India aims to increase its installed machine base in the country and respond faster to market requirements. The new plant will reduce lead times for machine delivery, improve service responsiveness and support the introduction of next-generation CNC solutions tailored for high-accuracy and high-productivity applications.

The Precision Tsugami Plant Inauguration will bring together leaders from India’s manufacturing industry, engineers, machine-tool partners and key customers. The event will showcase Tsugami’s manufacturing excellence and its sustained commitment to innovation, quality and customer support.

Sharing his excitement, Raghu Chandrasekaran, Managing Director at Tsugami India, said, “It gives us immense pride to open our doors and share this moment with the manufacturing community. By consolidating Casting, Machining and Assembly under one eco-system, we bring Operational efficiency, Supply chain agility and Quality consistency, improving delivery timelines. This new plant strengthens our foundation in India and reinforces our focus on delivering world-class CNC technology. We look forward to welcoming visitors and demonstrating the advancements that will drive the next phase of growth for precision engineering in the country.”

As part of the celebrations, Tsugami India will host a Technical Fair from 4th to 5th December 2025, offering visitors an exclusive first look at its latest CNC machine lineup, automation-ready systems, and solutions designed to meet the evolving demands of Indian manufacturers. Live demonstrations, application showcases, and expert interactions will give participants valuable insights into machining trends and advanced manufacturing practices.

The inauguration of the expanded facility, including the foundry and Tech Fair, are expected to draw strong participation from industries including automotive, electronics, medical devices, aerospace, and general engineering. With precision, performance, and productivity at the core of its solutions, Tsugami aims to support Indian manufacturers in accelerating their shift toward advanced, automated, and globally competitive production systems.
