True Power Limited has initiated construction on one of Uttar Pradesh’s largest solar panel manufacturing units in Barabanki, marking a major milestone in the state’s clean energy ambitions. With an investment of ₹100 crore, the facility is set to generate hundreds of direct jobs while bolstering India’s new energy goals. The foundation stone was laid in a Bhumi Pujan ceremony led by Managing Director Hari Om Tiwari and Director Shiv Om Tiwari, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability and regional development.
Once operational, the plant will boast an annual production capacity of 1 GW (Gigawatt), significantly contributing to the national renewable energy supply. The output will be capable of producing solar modules that generate electricity for hundreds of thousands of homes, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and cutting carbon emissions. This strategic investment strengthens Uttar Pradesh’s standing as a critical player in India’s renewable energy journey.
According to MD Hari Om Tiwari, the project was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national push for clean energy and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s proactive policies. Their combined leadership has created an environment ripe for green investments and innovation in the state.
The new facility is expected to directly employ several hundred individuals, with job opportunities across operations such as manufacturing, quality control, engineering, and maintenance. Additionally, the project is likely to create indirect employment in logistics, supply chains, and regional services. As Uttar Pradesh targets 20,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2027, this 1 GW plant will be a major contributor toward that goal, while also reducing import dependency and reinforcing India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem.
True Power currently operates three manufacturing units, with a fourth underway, and offers nine specialized product lines through a distribution network of over 10,000 dealers and 40 service centers nationwide. Its workforce includes more than 1,000 permanent staff and 300 contractual employees.
