Trinity Cleantech Private Limited showcased its latest energy infrastructure solutions at the India Energy Summit & Expo 2026 in Hyderabad, highlighting its 150 kW bioethanol-powered off-grid EV charger and Package Substation platforms. The company’s ME Energy Rapid Charger 150 is a 150 kW DC fast charger with dual CCS2 outputs. The system generates electricity on site using liquid bioethanol, allowing electric vehicles to be charged without a conventional grid connection.
The technology is designed for locations where grid availability, power connections or new electrical infrastructure may limit the deployment of high-power EV charging. Potential applications include highways, fleet and bus depots, mining and industrial sites, defence facilities, rural areas, construction sites, ports, airports, railway facilities, renewable energy parks and emergency-response locations.
The charger can provide up to 150 kW of DC charging capacity through a single session or distribute power between two simultaneous CCS2 charging sessions. Trinity said the system combines an onboard bioethanol-fuelled power generation unit, power conversion equipment, an energy buffer and charging interface in one industrial enclosure.
The technology also received attention earlier this month when Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy participated in the inauguration of the ethanol-based mobile EV charging technology in Hyderabad. Alongside the off-grid charger, Trinity presented its Package Substation and Compact Substation solutions. The systems are available from 250 kVA to 2,500 kVA and support 11 kV, 22 kV and 33 kV applications.
The packaged systems can integrate transformers, high-voltage switchgear, low-voltage switchgear, protection equipment, energy meters and digital connectivity. The platform is designed to support applications such as EV charging stations, industrial facilities and other distributed power requirements.
The substations are SCADA-ready and compatible with energy management systems. Depending on the configuration, communication options include Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104. Remote monitoring and IoT connectivity are also available.
Raj Kumar Medimi, Executive Director, Trinity Cleantech Private Limited, said the response at the exhibition highlighted growing interest in both clean mobility and reliable electrical infrastructure. “Today’s response at the India Energy Summit & Expo was particularly meaningful for Trinity. The interest in ME Energy and our Package Substations reflects the direction in which the energy sector is moving, but the recognition of Trinity from transformers supplied years ago was equally important. It reminded us that quality creates a legacy,” he said.
Trinity said its product portfolio allows it to address two different EV charging requirements. Grid-connected charging can be supported through its Package Substation and Compact Substation solutions, while the ME Energy system can provide charging in locations where grid power is unavailable or difficult to establish. The company is manufacturing and developing these technologies at its facility in Telangana, supporting its focus on domestic production and the expansion of India’s clean-energy infrastructure.
